6 Months

Happy half birthday to Will! Our little boy is 6 months old. Last night I was thinking about how different he was just one month ago, and how extremely different he was 6 months ago when we brought him home. Now Will is full of smiles. He wants to grab everything that we are holding. He loves to chew on paper and cries when we take it away. He can sit up, but we have to watch him because he falls over after a while. He loves to sit in the grass and cannot get enough of being outside. He nurses like a champion, but isn’t too interested in solid food, except ice cream. He loves sharing an ice cream sandwich with us. He has two teeth which he likes to bite with. He can roll over both ways. He likes Mom or Dad to hold him, and not really anyone else (although he is warming up to his Grandma Knapp). He is an observer. He likes to watch everything that’s going on, especially if he can watch from Mom or Dad’s arms. He likes us to read to him as he pats, pats, pats each page. He is sweet and cuddly, and we love him more than we knew we could. 6 months has flown by!

Can anyone remember my basketball pictures in elementary school? This was my facial expression in those pictures.

Working in the yard! Will loves sitting in the grass.

He watches the cars drive by. He especially loves it when big trucks and loud motorcycles drive by.

"Stop trying to get me to look at the camera! I'm busy watching the cars drive by!"

Look at that face! There is so much to see!

We don't have a bathtub in our apartment, so this is how we do bath time. We don't lay him down in the "tub" anymore because if we do, he just turns his head to the side and drinks the water...

He loves to splash! You can't see in the picture, but water is everywhere. Bath time will be moved to the bathroom from now on.

On a walk with Mom and Dad. This is the day of his 6 month birthday.
